A Day in Court

The World i once ruled fooled me
The chains i wore brought an age of growing pains
Buried in thought i waited for my martyr
The session began as the judge walked in without grudge
A Clatter and uproar subdued with receptive mood
The Felon i became took an ironclad oath
Making statements untrue at first view
I stood there bathed in tears
A paid cover defends my keep
I stood there bathed in tears
A paid cover defends my keep
Calling witness from a seemingly infinite deep
A fight to keep this care-charmer from a death sleep.
A fresh statement to hold me bound on a dungeons keep
“The prosecutor thinks too deep” I thought “am I worth the keep”?
“An undue option to keep him bound” the judge screamed
Deciding that a probable case was not established?
Dismissing the case to abort the disgrace?
My heart gave into laughter that lasted for a while
And there she was “my helper”
Through a pavement, walking slow strides;
Taking a stand against me
A sober reality i dared to call it…
She knew everything about me;
The bible oath fails me yet again
disregarding my painful past moments to make her happy
i saw a stranger making resentful remarks of fallacy against me
Where did i get it all wrong?
How can the world be so faint and crude?
I take a stand in chains
Tears seem unending
My Cold feet gave in heat..
My defense lost his guard
This was obviously the death of me
A shade of hope i sought
In my heart i found none
My paid cover walked up to me,
A request me to plead guilty his option
Not in a mad decade i resented him..
I sought for hope
But in her eyes i could see a liquid helium
Feeling faint my feet gave in..
A recess the judge called
A mumble of words
The public my jury
What an unfortunate series of events
Their hands my fate
my existence their discord
in an edict to see my dusk
immense mumble of words
Guilty Guilty Guilty Guilty Guilty….
In my faint i could hear them curse
Jury clatters my recoup
The judgment of his flaws will not pause
In a frail gait i saw my existence fade
Then the long awaited assurance
The sentence…..
In total serenity
I was sentenced to death by drowning
Never heard of that kind of before
But what was my crime?
With this I woke up from my slumber all sweaty
